  4. I have learnt that invertebrates are heterotrophic and I have also discovered the meaning of heterotrophic, which means that it cannot produce its own food and needs to depend on other organisms.

  5. I have learnt that approximately 95% of all the animal species are invertebrates. They also have no spine but some have hard exoskeletons to protect themselves, like the crab, while others do not, like the earthworm.

  9. I have learnt that almost 90% of the animal species are invertebrates, and they are mostly heterotrophic, so they have to find their own food.

  10. I have discovered the meaning of heterotrophic, which means that they cannot make food on their own and have to look for food themselves by eating other organisms.

  11. I have learnt that most of the animals species are invertebrates. Although they have no backbones, some have hard outer covering to protect themselves. E.g. mollusk, crustacean

  12. 1. I have learnt that the animal species vertebrates (eg. insects and crustaceans which make up more than 90% of the animal species) have no backbone, are multi-cellular, have no cell wall and are heterotrophic.

  13. I have discovered that invertebrates have a simpler nervous system, which makes them not as smart as vertebrates.

  14. I have discovered that invertebrates will eat almost anything that was or is alive.
